Welcome! Welcome! This is Manchester Memorial High School's FIRST Robotics Team 238's official website!
We are a team of about 25 members, based out of Manchester, New Hampshire, the birthplace of FIRST. The team has been around since 1999, after the school's first team disbanded previously.
Each year, our team competes in two regional competitions. This year, we are going to Manchester, NH, and Orlando, FL.
In addition to these regional competitions, the team competes in smaller off-season competitions at home, in Boston, and various other areas.
FIRST FIRST, or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is a program created by local inventor Dean Kamen. FIRST's purpose is to provide a fun environment to learn in, promoting science and tehcnology, learning, teamwork, and an alternative (or compliment) to sports teams for students.
The Robotics Competition, which we participate in, is a high school-aged
school team. We are one of over 1,600 teams across the world who participate in the program.
